Two of the current Justices were seated due to hypocritical decisions made by one man, Mitch McConnell, who denied an appointment by President Obama with nearly a year left in his term and approved an appointment by President Trump with only weeks left in his term. Three of the current Justices were appointed by a president who lost the popular vote by a wide margin. All were approved by a Senate that represents a minority of American citizens.
