The FBI is still convinced — at least officially — North Korea was behind the Sony hack even though many private security experts say it was probably an inside job by disgruntled Sony employees and ex-employees. But the FBI has access to evidence and information it’s gathered through sources it can’t reveal (because those assets would then be “burned” and useless in the future) and this is probably why the US government is still officially blaming North Korea.
