Prepare to have your brain blown.
This video, assembled from the best available knowledge, presents the known universe to the limits of observable space and time, with every element shown as close to scale as possible, to give you an idea of just how vast the Cosmos is and how small a part of it we are.
Bear in mind that the farther we pull away from the earth, the farther back in time we are going. In fact, you haven’t gone very far before you’re in a time in which humanity did not yet exist… and then even before the earth and our solar system existed.
It’s best seen in high definition if your monitor allows, and in full screen.
Enjoy.
Hi Rob,
I heard you talking about Cecil and was really moved. Losing a pet is a lot harder than any non-pet owner will ever know. But, having an animal companion is also more rewarding than they will ever know.
I don’t want to sound like a salesman after you’ve had such a loss, but we are reaching out to people in the pet community who share our values. I’ve started a new business which is a 100% green and far gentler alternative to pet cremation. We are all pet owners and advocates who thought there had to be a more dignified and respectful way to say goodbye to our pets. The process is called Aquamation and it is water, not fire based. If you get a chance, look at our at our website: http://www.peacefulpetsaquamation.com. And, please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Again, I’m very sorry for your loss.
